Fall in Review

It’s hard to believe that six months has passed since the students first stepped foot onto Jeju Island to attend the Word of Life Bible Institute. Orientation and leadership week feel like they were just yesterday where students learned everything about what the program would entail, slightly nervous yet greatly anticipating the year ahead. The students were excited about the academic classes, intentional ministry, and interactive discipleship.

Fast-forward six months to March where the students are gearing up to head to Israel, it’s amazing to see how God is allowing them to take part in a variety of ministry opportunities, gain a better understanding of God’s Word, and deepen their walk with Him.

Here at WOLBI Jeju, the staff has a front row seat of watching God change these students’ lives. In just six short months we have seen them grow in a vast amount of ways. We see growth in their ministry skills as they learn to effectively plan ministry for teens through Momentum and Bible Club events. We see growth in their knowledge of God’s Word as they spend time diligently studying, writing, and intentionally discussing theology and the Bible with each other. We see growth in their relationship with God, as they desire more time to seek God personally through His Word and prayer. We see growth in their interpersonal relationships with each other as they encourage each other to love God more. Overall, the fall semester marked an abundance of growth and we anticipate the spring semester knowing God will continue to work in all of our lives as we seek Him.

Here’s what John Austin has to say about his experience at WOLBI Jeju this fall!

“Hey I’m John Austin! One of my favorite things about coming to WOLBI Jeju has got to be the cultural experiences you get here! You get to spend time leading camp with Korean students, going to Korean festivals and just living in a whole new atmosphere! From climbing Mount Halla, to swimming in the ocean, WOLBI Jeju is a wonderful place to experience new things like you never have before, and experience God in a whole new way”.
